IAB working committees will focus on the specification and delivery of the IAB’s objectives (including matters such as research, training, events, standards, membership, public policy etc) and consist of any IAB member (full, associate or affiliate).
The number and focus of the working committees will be decided by the leadership council. Currently working groups have been allocated to the following areas:
-
Marketing & Events
-
Training & Education
-
Research
-
Standards & Guidelines
The leadership council will appoint a chair for each committee. The chair will be responsible for ensuring that any member wishing to join a particular committee is able to do so.
Working committee chairs will be responsible for informing the executive and leadership council of the progress of the committee, and will have to prepare information that the leadership council needs in order to make decisions that require a vote (such as proposals that require funding from IAB subscriptions).
PERMANENT STAFF
Where possible the IAB will provide administrative support, particularly to manage routine aspects of the association such as dealing with membership enquiries, updating the website, informing members of developments etc. Additionally, the decisions of the working committees will receive some administrative support in order to fulfill their objectives.
The leadership council will support an ongoing review of the time required and the extent to which IAB subscriptions will be capable of funding dedicated support.
